Lauer, Hulda M. (Trapp) -- 1896 - 1986

Funeral services for Mrs. Hulda M. Lauer, 89, who died Saturday at Maple Crest Manor, Fayette, were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 1986, from St. Olaf Lutheran church. Of­ficiating clergyman was Rev. Roger McKinstry. Burnham-Wood Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Interment was in St. Peter cemetery at Eldorado with Gene Gulsvig, Ronald Lauer, Terry Lauer, David Lauer, Randy Lauer and Larry Lauer as pallbearers.

Hulda, daughter of Peter and Gertrude (Grafenberg) Trapp, was born July 27, 1896, in Winneshiek county near Eldorado. She attended rural schools.

On November 19, 1914, Hulda was united in marriage to Peter Lauer at Eldorado and to them were born four children. They farmed in Eldorado until 1954, then moved to West Union.

She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran church and St. Olaf Ladies Aid.

She died at Maple Crest Manor in Fayette on July 12, 1986, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 15 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband,
Peter; her parents; her son, Ralph; two sisters; and three brothers.

Surviving are two sons, Clair, Cedar Rapids; and Leslie, Eldorado; one daughter, Mrs. Arlene Granby, Albert Lea, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
