Elzie Albright Services Held

Services were held from the Castalia United Methodist Church Tuesday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. for Elzie M. Albright, who passed away at Northgate Manor in Waukon, July 5. He had been a patient there for only two weeks. The Rev. Curtis H. Webster officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Castalia.

Elzie M. Albright was born January 24, 1886, the youngest son of Martin and Maria (Garvin) Albright. He was educated in the local rural schools and spent his life in Winneshiek County except for the past 17 years being spent in Fayette.

Mr. Albright never married, but helped care for his brother William and his sister, Mrs. Carrie Schaffer (sic) in their declining years. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Mary Helmer of Lubbock, Texas, Mrs. Carrie Schaffer (sic) of Fayette; Mrs. LaVina Allen of Castalia; William and Charles of Castalia and one brother who died in infancy.

He was a member of the Castalia United Methodist Church of Castalia and Fayette. He is survived by six nieces and one nephew and a host of great nieces and nephews.
