Sylvia Lee, 81 of Cresco, IA. passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, IA.

Sylvia Hazel (Bentley) Lee was born on November 25, 1924 in rural Highlandville, Iowa, the daughter of George and Lena Bentley. She was baptized on December 14, 1924 at Big Canoe Lutheran Church and confirmed on November 6, 1938 at Hesper Lutheran Church. She married Obed lee on August 25, 1951 at Hesper Lutheran Church in Hesper.

Prior to her marriage, Sylvia was an elementary school teacher in Norway, Iowa. She loved her family, china painting and genealogy.

Sylvia is survived by her son Gary (Chris) of Schaumburg, IL., her 3 grandsons: Jason and Kevin of Schaumburg, IL. and Nathan of Ridgeway, Iowa, her sister Phyllis of Roseville, MN., and brother Elder of Roseville, MN., and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oded, sons: Steven and David, sister Klara, and brother Gorden, and parents George and Lena Bentley.

Pall bearers were: Jason Lee, Kevin Lee, Nathan Lee, Jeff Miller, Mike Miller, and Pat Schmelzer.

Funeral services were held at the Orleans Lutheran Church, Ridgeway, Iowa November 27, 2006 at 11 o'clock a.m. Rev. Phillip and Rev. Ginny Olson officating.
