Mr. and Mrs. Cremer Are Married 25 Years
Event Observed At Their Beautiful Farm Home Last Sunday; Many Relatives Attend
Mr. and Mrs. John Cremer entertained about 75 relatives and friends at their beautiful farm home last Sunday on the occasion of their silver wedding anniversary. The afternoon was given to card playing and to social activities and at six o’clock a bountiful dinner was served.
Mr. Cremer and Miss Tillie Holthaus were married October 10, 1905, in St. Mary’s church Festina, by Rev. Wm. J. Cremer, brother of the groom, and now pastor at Gilbertsville, Iowa. They started housekeeping on his father’s farm, known as the William Cremer farm, where they have always resided. The farm now is the property of John Cremer.
Mr. and Mrs. Cremer are the parents of eight children: Alfred, Francis, Gregory, Victor, Leander, Paul, Marie and Nora, all of whom are at home except Francis who is employed in Dubuque.
Mr. and Mrs. Cremer received many beautiful gifts of silver and other useful articles, which will prove happy reminders of the memorable event and serve them for many years to come, as both and groom and bride of 25 years ago are in excellent health and bid fair to live to celebrate their golden wedding, if not their diamond jubilee.
