PIONEER DAYS-HESPER TOWNSHIP 1851-1941

Elihu Baxter Thomas was born in Standish, Maine, in the year 1826, and where he married Frances Ann Taylor in 1851. They came West in 1855 and settled in Minneapolis, Minn. where they lived until 1867 when they came here. Their home was located a half mile west and about three-quarters of a mile south of Hesper. They were parents of three children, all deceased. Their son George was an early day school teacher in this vicinity.
