Later, he worked for Larson Manufacturing and Deluxe Products in Lake Mills, Winnebago Industries in Forest City, and finally for Russ Hardy in Mason City.

He loved to tell stories and joke with his family and friends. He collected all sorts of things, loved flowers, antiques, and beautiful things, but above all, he loved God, his family, and close friends.

He will, certainly, be missed by all who knew and loved him! Les was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Pearl Anderson; as well as by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and one cousin.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017, at the Synod Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with Rev. David Emmons officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Salem Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
