FOREST CITY – Kent Douglas Hauge, 64, of Forest City, died on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City.

Kent, a son of Arnold and Helen (Keiser) Hauge, was born on December 30, 1952, in Forest City. After graduating from Forest City High School in 1971, he began working at Winnebago Industries. On November 23, 1974, he married Carmen Orvick at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City. They lived in Forest City until 1985 when they moved to Albia. In 1989, they returned to Forest City, and Kent began working at 3M. Then, in 1991, they moved to Kiester, Minnesota, where they owned and operated the Kiester Bowling Center. Kent retired from 3M in 2008, and in 2013, he and Carmen moved back to Forest City. He enjoyed bowling and attending his son, Bryan’s high school athletic activities. Kent was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City.

Kent is survived by his wife, Carmen, of Forest City; his son, Bryan (Shelby) Hauge, of St. Paul, Minnesota; his father, Arnold Hauge, of Fertile; his brother, Paul Hauge, of Britt; and three nephews, Jeremy (Kellie) Hauge, of Grimes, Ben (Julie) Hauge, of St. Ansgar, and Chad Green, of Faribault, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; his brother, Craig Hauge; an infant brother, Dennis Arnold Hauge; an infant sister, Paulette Kay Hauge; and a nephew, Matthew Hauge.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Monday, June 5, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City with Pastor Zech Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Home in Forest City and will resume for one hour before the services at the church.
