Paul Wayne Nels Henderson
(January 16, 1940 - July 3, 2015)

Paul Wayne Nels Henderson, age 75, of Lake Mills, Iowa, died on Friday, July 03, 2015, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Paul Wayne Nels Henderson was born on January 16, 1940, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Nels M. and Helma Josephine (Fasager) Henderson. He attended and then graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1958. Over the years, he worked for Larson Manufacturing, Winnebago Industries, and Byerly’s Soup Company.

On December 10, 1960, Paul married Nola Hagen at the Lunder Lutheran Church, Twin Lakes, Minnesota. To their union, three sons were born, David, Bruce, and Michael, and one daughter, Cynthia. Although Paul and Nola, later, divorced, he and his special friend, Mavis Hauge, shared twenty years of happiness together before she passed away in Thompson, Iowa.

Paul loved his family very much. Because he was especially close to his son, David, most people would have called them "best buddies." He enjoyed his John Deere collection, gardening, Nascar racing, his dog, Rudy, and of course, his children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, David Paul Henderson, of Lake Mills, Iowa, Bruce Neal Thibodeau, of Fremont, Nebraska, and Michael Wayne Thibodeau, of Norfolk, Nebraska; his daughter, Cindy Jo and Mike Fitzgerald, of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska; his step-daughter, Berdine Storby, of Scarville, Iowa; ten grandchildren, who will miss their grandpa and all his love; his sister-in-law, Rose Henderson, of Lake Mills Iowa; his special nieces and nephews; and MaraDee Weinberg, who spent many childhood years with Paul, Nancy, Ron, and Randy; along with many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Helma Henderson; his brother, Ardell Henderson; his sister, Carmen Kaasa; and his special friend, Mavis Hauge.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Silver Lake Lutheran Church, rural Northwood, Iowa, with Pastor Randy Baldwin officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Inurnment will take place at Silver Lake Cemetery, rural Northwood, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Family.
