September 14, 1934 - August 4, 2005Born on September 14, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kraakevik, Robert died on August 4, 2005, in Garland, Texas.
A 1952 graduate of Forest City High School and a 1954 graduate of Waldorf College, Bob served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sargent, having received both Good Conduct and Air Force Commendation medals. He earned a Master of Liberal Arts at Southern Methodist University (SMU), and a Master of Library Science at Texas Women's University (TWU). He worked as a reference librarian at the South Garland Library.
An active member of the McLaughlin Bible class at First Baptist, Dallas, Bob is survived by his wife, Joy; his daughters, Kay Martin, Jan Kneupper, and Jeanne Trieger; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services for Robert Louis Kraakevik, 70, of Garland, Texas, were held on August 8, 2005, at the Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland with burial at the DFW National Cemetery.
