Dorothy G. Henderson, 100, of Lake Mills, Iowa, formerly of Cisne, Illinois, passed away at 2:45 p.m., on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills, Iowa.

Dorothy was born on January 26, 1915, in Geff, Illinois, to Lafe and Cora (Fansler) Porter. On October 8, 1936, she married Burrell H. Henderson at Bellmont, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1999.

A homemaker and a member of the Iola Methodist Church, Dorothy attended the Cisne Christian Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Glenda (Larry) Wine, of Norwalk, Connetticut, Ellen (Ed) McManaway, of Evansville, Indiana, and Vicki (George) Kerney, of The Colony, Texas; four sons, Don, of Dallas, Georgia, Gene (Sheri), of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, Jerry (Bonnie), of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and George (Kathy), of Lake Mills, Iowa; and twenty grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband; one infant daughter; one son, James Lynn; two sisters, Nellie and Gladys, one daughter-in-law, Karen; and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, Illinois, with burial to follow in Iola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.

Memorials may be made to the Iola Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
