The couple, then, moved into Lake Mills, and Arvid, with farming in his blood, began a twenty year career of crop adjusting. This way, he was able to remain active while keeping farmland under his feet.

Arvid loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he enjoyed keeping up with all their sporting events. He spent time bowling, fishing, collecting things such as crocks and John Deere model tractors, and having coffee with his buddies at The Grand, Don’s, and Little Willie's.

An avid Hawkeye fan, Arvid absolutely would not miss an Iowa football or basketball game. He just loved the Hawks!!!
