Funeral services for Arthur G. Donnelly, Jr., 29, were held Monday afternoon, May 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo Center. Arthur passed away Friday, May 2, at Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis after a lengthy illness.

Rev. Wayne Wasta conducted the services and Winter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Bruce Orthel, Allen Huisman, Ron Gordon, Donald Eldredge, Ronald Larson and Gary Friesenberg. Interment was in Graceland cemetery.

Arthur G. Donnelly was born January 16, 1940, to Arthur and Mildred (Johnson) Donnelly of Buffalo Center, Iowa. He grew up in the Buffalo Center community and graduated from the Buffalo Center High School. He served in the United States Air Force and afterwards was employed in California until he became ill.

He was a member of the Buffalo Center United Methodist Church.

Arthur was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine. Surviving are his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Craig (Pattie) Meyer of Swea City, and Mrs. Darrel (Muriel) Gjerstad of Buffalo Center; three brothers, Mike of Mason City, Russell of Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Bill of Buffalo Center; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Johnson and Mrs. Lois Donnelly of Buffalo Center, and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
