The bodies of Donald Warmke and Gary Goodwin of Muncie, Indiana, missing since their aircraft crashed somewhere in the Georgia-Tennessee area January 16, were discovered Tuesday morning, February 26. Both men were in the cabin of their craft apparently killed upon impact as the plane went down near Atlanta, Georgia. Another plane crash in the area Sunday prompted a huge search for this downed craft and it was during this concentrated effort that the Warmke craft was discovered.

Services for Donald Warmke, the husband of Doris Harms of this community, are scheduled to be held this morning, Thursday, February 28, in Muncie. Following these rites the body will be place aboard a Muncie Aviation, Inc. aircraft to be flown here. Services for Mr. Warmke will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 1 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Buffalo Center with burial in the Catholic cemetery.

Mr. Warmke was the husband of the former Doris Harms of Buffalo Center. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Darwin and Daniel, and a daughter, Debbie, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Warmke of Spring Valley, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Reutzel, Northwood, and Mrs. Kathleen Timmons, Dodge Center, Minnesota; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Rose Yonkovich of Spring Valley and Mrs. Elizabeth Warmke, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Donald Warmke was born in Grand Meadow, Minnesota June 23, 1939, graduated from the Elmore, Minnesota high school in 1957 and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

Winter Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements with Father John Hussman the clergyman. Pallbearers were John Kelso, Jr., Terry Olson, Duane Harms, Kent Seibert, Bruce Bates and Dean Yonkovich. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

The Joint Honor Guard of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts of Buffalo Center took part in military rites for Donald Warmke March 1. Veterans participating were Edwin Albers, Carl Boehm, James Haisman, Clarence Milbrandt, Willis Murra, Patrick Orthel, Fred Radmaker, Charles Schumann, James Murray, Justice Sullivan, Larry Weaver and Edward Winter.
