(July 19, 1969 - February 10, 2011)

Rudy Sanchez, age 41, of Rake, Iowa, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, at his home.

Rudy Sanchez was born on July 19, 1969, to Yolanda (Taveres) and Rodolfo Sanchez in Waxahachie, Texas. He had two brothers and three sisters.

Rudy attended school in Oak Cliff, Texas, and earned a GED. He was blessed with two wonderful children, Rudy and Selena. In Forest City, Iowa, he married Angela Gulbertson on March 12, 2009.

Rudy enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and camping as well as other hobbies. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Rudy became ill in 2008 and passed away from his battle with cancer on February 10, 2011, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Angela, of Rake, Iowa; his parents, Rodolfo and Yolanda Sanchez, of Dallas, Texas; two children, Rudy S. Sanchez III and Selena M. Sanchez, both of Rake, Iowa; two brothers, Robert, and wife, Eunice, of Dallas, Texas, and Omar Sanchez, of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and three sisters: Juanita and Diana Sanchez, both of Rake, Iowa; and Brenda Sanchez, of Buffalo Center, Iowa. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his aunts, his uncle, and his niece.

His memorial service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Rake, Iowa, with Pastor Terry Mahnke officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
