An auto accident near Dixon, Ill. caused the death of little 4 year old Trayce Corrine Steinmetz and severe injuries to her mother, Mrs. Rollin Steinmetz. Mr. Steinmetz who was driving and his son were cut and bruised
and their car completely wrecked. They were returning from a vacation trip to Grand Rapids, Mich. with Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Grothaus of Valley Junction.

Terrible news from Buffalo Center, Iowa, tells of the death by decapitation in an automobile accident, of the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Steinmetz, of that town. The parents were driving on a rural highway, and a
head-on collision hurled the 2-year-old babe through the windshield of their car. The girl's head was absolutely cut off. The mother, who was formerly Dr. Tjode Charlotte Grothaus, of S.U.I., one of several members of the same
family here enrolled, was graduated in dentistry, in 1914. She is prostrated, and her nerves may be wrecked. A little son survives, with the parents.
