(July 22, 1917 - February 26, 2010)

Kathryn A. Reines, 92 of Lake Mills, IA, died Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City, IA.

Kathryn A. Reines, daughter of Erik and Olina (Honsey) Reines, was born July 22, 1917, on a farm in Mount Valley Township, Winnebago County, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Winnebago Lutheran Church.

Kathryn lived on the home place with her family and attended country school. She worked for and retired from Deluxe Mfg. in Lake Mills and also volunteered at the Lake Mills Care Center.

In 1965, Kathryn bought a home with her sister Esther in Lake Mills and lived there until she entered the Lake Mills Care Center in August of 2008.

Kathryn is survived by her nieces, Marilyn (Gene) Brady of Perry, IA; Cheryl (James) Moore of Waterloo, IA; Linda (Ken) Ferjak of Forest City, IA; JoAnn (Tony) Onnen of Cokato, MN; Darla Thorland of Decorah, IA; nephews, Carroll (Virgean) Reines of Lake Mills, IA; Rodney (Lynda) Thorland of Blaine, MN; along with several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Esther Reines; Geneva (Harold) Thorland; brothers, Melvin Reines; Conrad (Alpha) Reines; nephew, Edward Thorland and great nephew, Greg Thorland.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Winnebago Lutheran Church in rural Lake Mills, IA, with Pastor Bill Peters officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church only.

Burial will take place at the Winnebago Lutheran Cemetery.
