Death Claims Mrs. Sylvan Oleson, A Young Mother

Mrs. Isabelle Langarud Oleson, wife of Sylvan Oleson, passed away Friday evening Sept. 7, after only a very few days illness. Mrs. Oleson was born in Polk County, Wisconsin, of the parents, John and Bessie Langarud. She was brought to the Lord and trained in a Christian home. She was confirmed in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church at Leland by Rev. Quello. Early in life she lost her mother. As the oldest in the family she had the responsibility of caring for the home. She was faithful to the trust imposed upon her.

It was a great shock to the community to hear of her sudden death. But our hearts are comforted in knowledge that she has found peace with God and put her trust in her Saviour.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church in this city with Rev. M. D. Bush in charge. Rev. J. A. M. Hinderlie preached the sermon. A quartet from the Forest City Church and a quartet from the Leland Church sang appropriate numbers. Burial was made at West Prairie Cemetery beside the mother of the young woman.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death; her husband, Sylvan Oleson; her infant son, Clinton Warren; her father, John Langarud; her two brothers, Maynard, and Willard; and two sisters, Sadie and Oline. The son from whom she was taken so early in life is being cared for by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Oleson.
