Seeking info on grandmother, b. ca 1882, probably in Coalville. Parents, William & Jane/Jean Sharp(e) both born Scotland, reportedly died in storm when buggy tipped over in stream in 1885. Jane/Jean, however, listed in 1885 Iowa Census w/o William but w/ 6 children. Iowa marriage records suggest she subsequently married a James Grant, who was boarder in her house in 1885. Messenger article says Nellie had been adopted by Thomas Collins, who apparently sent her to Visitation Academy in Dubuque (1900 Fed Census). She married Thomas Francis "Frank" Savage (b. ca 1878) in Dubuque in 1907; both resided in/near Ft. Dodge before and after their marriage.
