Robert C. Hale, 70, of Waupaca, Wis., a former resident of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday following a short illness. Funeral arrangements are pending at Waupaca.

Mr. Hale was educated in Fort Dodge and in the early 20s worked here for the United States Gypsum Company. The firm transferred him to Batavia, N. Y., where he lived until his retirement five years ago. He moved then to Milwaukee and later to Waupaca.

Surviving are his wife, the former Etta Marmie of Fort Dodge, and a son, Robert A. Hale of De Pere, Wis. A sister, Mrs. Lee Chase of Fort Dodge, also survives.

The Hales had visited often in Fort Dodge with Mrs. Chase and Mrs. Hale's sisters Mrs. Wilbur Mylander and Mrs. Oliver Chingren.

Mrs. Chase and Mrs. Mylander plan to attend the Funeral service.
