ELLSWORTH - Eleanor Jerree "Bonnie" Sampson, 87, formerly of Ellsworth died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Tuesday, July 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with Rev. Michael Herschberger officiating. Burial was at Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth.

Bonnie was born June 2, 1917, in Fort Dodge to Morris and Mary (Kester) Gleason. She received her education in the Fort Dodge School Systems. Bonnie was united in marriage to Sanford Sampson in Fort Dodge. She worked as a switchboard operator in the Fort Dodge, Radcliffe and Marshalltown areas. Bonnie was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. She was the 2004 reigning queen of the Hubbard Care Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue Norem and husband Marv of Ellsworth; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Brandt of Clarion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; four brothers, one in infancy.

Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe was in charge of arrangements.
