ANN HITT

Ann M. Hitt, 77, of Humeston, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21st at 10:30 a.m. at the Woodburn Christian Church in Woodburn, Iowa. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.

Ann Marie Hitt was born on August 8, 1933 to Robert Allen and Leoan Maxine Lamb Roe in Garden Grove, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Don Hitt on April 18, 1953 in Osceola, Iowa. She enjoyed singing, traveling, bird watching and trying new recipes. She was a member of the Last Chance Christian Church at Derby.

She is survived by her husband, Don; son, Barry Hitt of St. Charles; daughter, Kelly Birlingmair of Runnells; grandson, Tyler Birlingmair of Des Moines; sister, Betty Jo Warren of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Raymond Evans and Mary and Bill Spencer; son-in-law, David, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Marilyn Hitt.
