Romey Massey, a farmer living east of Leon, was killed in a runaway between Woodland and Lineville. The team became frightened and Massey was thrown to the ground.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows that Roma Massey was born Dec. 26, 1891 and died Feb. 15, 1913. He is buried in Big Springs Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa
