SWIFT - Hollie C., only son of Worthington and Lydia Swift was born in Warsaw, Wayne county, Iowa, Feb. 10, 1876, and died at his home in Corydon, Sept. 5, 1900.

He was united in marriage to Miss Abbie K. Smith, at Allerton, Iowa, June 7, 1897, by Rev. A. Thornbone.

The deceased attended school at Iowa City, Iowa, during the year 1889-90. In September '93 he entered the Central Normal University at Humeston, Iowa, from which he graduated with honors July 23, 1896. He entered the law office with his father as a partner in September, 1897, where he faithfully applied himself to the study of law under parental supervision.

The writer need not make extended mention of his genial spirit, natural and acquired abilities - these together with other qualifications are remembered with gratitude by a large circle of friends.

The funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 6, by Rev. A. M. Shea, assisted by Rev. J. W. Horne, after which the remains were interred in the Allerton cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends.
