Graveside services for Jack, 88, are 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at Humeston Cemetery. Visitation is open from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 17 at Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon. Memorials may be given to the LeRoy Presbyterian Church.

Jack was a lifelong farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2008, and 8 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include daughters Barbara Vandell (Tracey) and Beverly Auxier (Steve) of Humeston, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa 16 Jun 2012.
