Obituary

Miss Jennie Stewart was born in Knox County, Illinois, September 17th, 1865. Died March 26th, 1901, aged 35 years, 6 months and 9 days. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1874. She was married to Douglas VanDorn January 1st, 1885. To them were born 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, all are living. She was converted in the year 1893 and has lived a consistent christian life. Her talk and thought in her last days and hours was of her home in the better land. So her last testimony is a great comfort to her husband, her aged father and mother, her surviving sisters and children.

The funeral was held in the M. E. church at Jerome, conducted by Rev. P. C. Stire of Seymour and was attended by a large company of friends and relatives.
