Obituary

Cammie, eldest daughter of William and Eliza Clark, was born in Green county, Indiana, July 6, 1850, and died at her home in Humeston October 7, 1902.

Her father's family came to Wayne county in 1856, where she grew to womanhood and began teaching school at the age of eighteen, and was one of the prominent teachers of the county until her marriage to J. P. Baltimore, one of the leading farmers of Maple Grove. They resided on the farm until three years ago, when they came to Humeston. She leaves three children; Mitchell, aged twenty-three, Verna, twelve and Hope, eight. Mrs. Baltimore became identified with the M. E. church early in life and has been an active worker in the church both here and at Maple Grove for many years.

Her sickness and suffering was of unusual length and severity, yet she met it bravely and with an endurance surpassing anything known to friends or physicians.

The funeral services were conducted by Elder Thompson, of Chariton, at the M. E. church Thursday morning, and she was laid to rest in the Lewisburg cemetery.
