Obituary

Willard Ira Boyd was born April 21, 1884, at Leon, Iowa, died October 11, 1902, aged eighteen years, five months and twenty days.

All his life was spent in Leon, until the family moved to Humeston, in December 1900. At the age of thirteen he united with the Christian church at Leon during evangelistic meetings held by W. A. Northcut. Ira is the first to go of a family of four children, leaving father and mother and three sisters to mourn his loss.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Monday morning, conducted by Elder Gilcrest, and the remains were laid to rest in the Humeston cemetery.
