DEATH NOTICE:

ROCKHOLD, Mary Ellen, 95, of Corydon, Iowa, died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, Iowa. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa, with Pastor Max Carmichael officiating, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Lineville United Methodist Church and may be mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.

MARY ELLEN ROCKHOLD ... Mary Ellen Rockhold, daughter of Creed and Georgia Ann [Painter] Gaskill, was born in Lineville, Iowa, on February 11, 1917, and passed away on January 12, 2013, at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, Iowa, at the age of 95 years.

Mary was a life long resident of Wayne County, Iowa and a 1934 graduate of Lineville High School. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing the piano.

On September 3, 1934, she was united in marriage to Ivan William Rockhold, and they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1984. They farmed together in Wayne County and also were owners of the Rockhold Hardware in Lineville for several years. Ivan preceded Mary in death on March 1, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Bob Rockhold (and daughter-in-law, Betty) and Junior Rockhold (and daughter-in-law Tina), all of Corydon, Iowa; six grandchildren, Chuck Collier (and his wife, Jane), Rick Rockhold (and his wife, Liz), Brenda Rockhold, Dawna Curry (and her husband Chris), Kristi Chapman (and her her husband, Blake), and Brand Rockhold; nine great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Lauren Collier, Josie and Taylor Curry, Kenzie Patton, Callie Chapman, and Ashley, Luke, and Colby Rockhold; and by other relatives and friends.

Mary was a member of the Lineville United Methodist Church.
