DEATH NOTICE:

DUSENBERRY, Wilma Maxine, 93, of Corydon, Iowa, (formerly of Mercer County, Missouri), died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, Iowa, with Pastor Max Carmichael officiating. Interment was held in the Wilder Cemetery, northeast of Mercer, Missouri.

WILMA MAXINE DUSENBERRY ... Wilma Maxine Dusenberry, daughter of James Archie and Chlora Mae [Wells] Storer, was born on the family farm northeast of Mercer, Missouri, on December 17, 1919, and passes away on January 15, 2013, at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, Iowa, at the age of 93 years.

Maxine was a lifelong resident of Mercer County, Missouri, and a 1938 graduate of Mercer High School. She was a loving homemaker and also worked as a cook in restaurants in Lineville, Iowa, Mercer, Missouri, and at the Hwy 65 and Hwy 2 junction north of Lineville. She enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader.

Maxine was united in marriage to Delbert Franklin Dusenberry on March 7, 1942, in Kahoka, Missouri. They moved to the Mercer area in the mid 1940's. Delbert preceded her in death on July 8, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by an infant sister. Surviving her are four sons, Rex Dusenberry of Des Moines, Iowa, Jim Dusenberry (and daughter-in-law, Linda), Joe Dusenberry (and daughter-in-law, Ann), all of Princeton, Missouri, and Mike Dusenberry of Joliet Illinois; one daughter, Cindy Keesler (and son-in-law, Brian) of Des Moines; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends.

Maxine was a member of the Mercer Baptist Church.
