TREADWELL, Laura Bernice, 58, of Corydon, Iowa, died on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, Iowa, with Pastors Ron Helton and Dale Short officiating. Interment was held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa.

LAURA BERNICE TREADWELL ... Laura Bernice Treadwell, daughter of Max Duane and Lois Jeanne [Davis] Carmichael, was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on October 25, 1954, and passed away on December 21, 2012, at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, Iowa, at the age of 58 years.

Laura was raised in Lineville, Iowa, and was a 1972 graduate of Lineville-Clio High School. She was a member of the former Freedom Baptist Church, northwest of Princeton, Missouri, and a member of the Red Hat Society of Princeton, Missouri.

On December 24, 1991, Laura was married to Dr. David Bruce Treadwell. She worked with David as a Chiropractic Assistant in Princeton, Missouri, for 24 years. David survives her of their home southwest of Princeton. She is also survived by two sons, Adam Beavers (and daughter-in-law, Sara) of Allerton, Iowa and Jason Beavers of Columbia, Missouri, her father, Pastor Max Carmichael (and his wife, Devra) of Leon, Iowa; a stepson, Scott Treadwell (and his wife, Dusti), and stepdaughter, Amy Cool (and her husband, Paul), all of Trenton, Missouri; two brothers, Dennis Carmichael (and sister-in-law Rhonda) of Mercer, Missouri, and Joe Carmichael (and sister-in-law, Rhonda) of Newton, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, 2 stepbrothers, Travis and Todd Hughes; 3 stepsisters, Hillary Weir, Heidi Hicks, and Holly Rash; and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Laura lived most of her life in Wayne County, Iowa, and Mercer County, Missouri. She enjoyed her hummingbirds, wildlife photography, turkey hunting, and especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

Laura was a very loved and dedicated part of the Treadwell Chiropractic Clinic of Princeton, Missouri, and will be sadly missed by all the patients.
