GLENYS MANDELL VAUGHN

The little daughter of Otto Vaughn died at their home last Friday, Feb. 6th. She had been sick for four months and was a patient little sufferer. About 100 people were present at the funeral service, which was held at the home last Sunday at 11 a.m. The services were conducted by the Rev. J.S. Young and the interment was in the Humeston cemetery.

Glenys Mandell Vaughn, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Vaughn was born March 1, 1917 and died Feb. 6, 1920, aged two years, 11 months and 6 days. She was a wonderfully bright and winsome child seemly having lived beyond her years in knowledge.

Her patience and endurance during her four months sickness was wonderful and certainly was an inspiration to those who witnessed it.

Her blessed Saviour has called her to the beautiful home on high where she will dwell in peace and joy forever, for such is the kingdom of Heaven.

There is no death, the stars go down

To rise upon some fairer shore,

And bright in Heaven jewelled crown

They shine forever more

There is no death, an angel form

Walk o'er the world with silent thread,

And then we call them dead.
