George Andrew Morgan was born in Barnesville, Ross county, Ohio, on Jan. 28th, 1849 and died at his home near Cambria, Iowa, Feb. 15th, 1920, aged 71 years, and 17 days. He with his parents came to Wayne County Iowa in 1870 and since that time has been a resident of Iowa.

He was married to Miss Elizabeth Price April 8th, 1876. Of this union there are still two children living: Walter Morgan of Eagleville, Missouri and Mrs. Roy McEndree. Besides his wife he leaves two children, two brothers and one sister and six grandchildren. Ralph Morgan, one brother is in Texas; William Morgan and Mrs. Nancy Simmons are in Corydon, Iowa. The deceased suffered several weeks before his death with tuberculosis but passed away peacefully. The interment was in the family lot in the grave yard about one mile from the home and the services were conducted by Rev. J. S. Young of Humeston.
