Pauline Ruby, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Altekruse was born near Humeston, Wayne county, Iowa, and lived there with her parents until the spring of 1919, when with her parents moved to Beaconsfield, Ringgold county.

On January 24 she was stricken with flu pneumonia and bore up thru her suffering until Feb. 10, when she was called home to meet her little brother who left a few days previous.

She was a kind and sweet baby and leaves father, mother and a brother, Dennis Charles.

At the time of our baby's death she was 6 years, 4 months and 12 days old.

The little body was laid to rest in the Green Bay cemetery at Humeston, Iowa.
