Lucy Hegbin was born May 10, 1819 in Lancaster county, Penn., and moved to Ohio with her parents in 1821. Was united in marriage to George Ringler June 6, 1837. There were born to this union seven children, five girls and two boys, four of which are living. Catherine Bartholomew of Rawlins county, Kansa, Charity Ann Campbell of Putnum county, Mo., Alice Lucy Campbell, Webster county, Neb., and George Ringler of Wayne county, Iowa. Alice Campbell and George Ringler were with her at the time of her death. She united with the Christian church in 1855 of which she was a constant member until her death, although she suffered much, she bore it without a murmur, trusting in God till the last. The funeral services were held at the Richardson chapel December 28, 1904, conducted by H. G. Waggoner, minister of the Allerton Christian church.
