VERNON JOHNSON (Seattle, WA) ... Vernon Francis Johnson, son of Marvin and Edna [Barrett] Johnson, was born in Lineville, IA, on December 11, 1937, and died on March 16, 1994, at the Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, WA, at the age of 56 years.

Vernon was a 1956 graduated of Lineville High School, and received his bachelor's Degree from Iowa State University. He served in the U.S. Army for three years.

Vernon was employed by Audit Bureau of Circulation of Illinois for over 25 years, and traveled extensively in his work. He has made Seattle his home for the past three years.

Vernon is survived by his two sons; Eric and Gary Johnson, both of Annapolis, MD; his mother, Edna Johnson, of Humeston, IA; three sisters, Marva Place (and brother-in-law, Charles), of Oskaloosa, IA, Sandra Munyon (and brother-in-law, Dwight), of Des Moines, IA; and by one niece and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 20, 1994, at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, IA, with his brother-in-law, Marvin Munyon officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville.
