Hello Joanne,
Thank you for all the information! I will take some time to review it all. Yes, I found the Find A Grave site and how wonderful to see the headstones for all the children of Thomas and Sarah and Thomas' first wife, Martha. I found out through Powelson family historian notes that 6 of the 12 children of Thomas and Sarah Powelson died from Diphtheria. Would there be any more detailed cemetery records or newspaper articles available for Washington County in 1865 or 1880 where I might learn more about this?
