Are the 7 children siblings? I did some info on other Hefflefingers and Porterfields in Wash and Keokuk Counties. I.E. James N. Porterfield (24) and Catharine A. (20) in 1856 Iowa Census, Richland, Keokuk Co. Records via Wash Co GenWeb show Martin and Flora marriage as Sept 13, 1884 and Martin's marriage to Nancy S as Oct 16, 1888. I've asked WCGS to confirm this info too.
