DuVall Rites

KALONA - Funeral service for Howard DuVall, 88, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Peterseim Chapel in Kalona, the Rev. John Woodin officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington. Mr. DuVall died Wednesday at a Kalona nursing home where he had lived for 11 years.
Mr. DuVall was born May 27, 1885 in Fulton County, Pa., the son of William H. and Mollie Hanks DuVall. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Maude McGuire.
He worked for U.S. Steel Corp. in Gary, Ind. for many years before retiring to Kalona. He is survived by a sister and brother in Pennsylvania and a brother in Ohio.
