Four Area Men Taken In Death During The Past Week

JAMES CHALUPA

James Chalupa, died Sunday, September 24, 1967 at a Wellman Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past four months. He was a lifetime resident of Washington County.
He was born January 14, 1884 in Washington County the son of Anthony and Elizabeth Chalupa and died at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 10 days.
On January 18, 1905 he was married to Jennie Prohaska. She preceded him in death June 17, 1948. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: three sons, Glen, Loveland, Colorado, Clem, Richland, and Raymond, of Kalona; two daughters, Inex Schneider and Mrs. Raynold Greiner, both of Washington; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Hesseltine, Washington and three brothers, George, Edward and Fred all of Washington.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 27 at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Lowell Drake in charge. Interment was made in the Richmond Public Cemetery.
