Funeral Services For Z.F. Schillig Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Zano F. Schillig were held at the Holy Trinity Catholic church in Richmond at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 1965 with the Rev. Fr. William Snell saying the requiem mass. Interment was made int eh Schnoebelen cemetery near Riverside. The Peterseim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born November 11, 1888, at Richmond, the son of Peter and Magaleen Schnoebelen Schillig. He was married to Isabelle McManus, June 25, 1917, in Bangor, Maine.
He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Chancey McFarland of Bar Harbor, Maine, Mrs. Calvin Smith of Iowa City and Mrs. Edward Vorel of Hills; a son, Matthew, Santa Anna, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Leona Weir of Colorado; two brothers, William of Iowa City, and Henry of Muscatine; 24 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1962, by several brothers and sisters and by a grandchild.

O gentlest heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament. ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls, have mercy on the soul of Thy departed servant. Be not severe in Thy judgement but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames, and do Thou O Merciful Saviour, send Thy Angels to conduct Thy departed servant to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen

May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Merciful Jesus grant eternal rest.
