Dorothy Shebek,78 dies

RIVERSIDE - Dorothy Shebek, 78 of Riverside died Oct. 28, 1993, at Dyersburg, Tenn., following a car accident.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Riverside, with the Rev. Rudy Berndt officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Riverside, at a later date.

There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established with Sister Rosalie BVM Thomann, Dubuque.

Dorothy Shebek was born Sept. 10, 1915 at Riverside, to Henry and Katherine (Laney) Thomann.

She graduated from St. Mary's in 1933. She married John R. Shebek on June 19, 1944, at Riverside. She worked as a secretary at Highland School for 10 years, as a beautiful and a WAC in World War II.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janice Musser, Riverside, and Elizabeth Shebek, Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, John Shebek, Prescott, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and two brothers.
