RIVERSIDE - Geneva Schnoebelen, 82, of Riverside, died Thursday, Feb. 4, at Attrium Village in Hills following an extended illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside with the Rev. Thomas Mohr officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery. Visitation began at 1 p.m. today. There will be rosary services at 3 and 7:30 p.m. today at Sorden's Funeral Chapel in Riverside. A memorial fund for St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic School has been established.

She was born May 26, 1899, in Riverside to John and Elizabeth (Schnoebelen) Shebek. She married Mello Schnoebelen Nov. 27, 1924, at Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Ray (Jo Ann) Schaffer of Des Moines, and John and James both of Riverside. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren and three brothers and a sister.
