JOSEPH V. SPEVACEK

Joseph V. Spevacek, youngest son of Joseph Spevacek and Anna Holub Spevacek was born in Richmond, Iowa October 10th, 1873 and departed this life at the home of his brother V. J. Spevacek on July 29, 1930 aged 56 Years, 9 months and 17 days.

He was the youngest of a family of four and leaves surviving him his two sisters, Barbara Kos of Richmond, Anna Vesley living on a farm near Richmond and his brother V. J. Spevacek residing near Kalona. The parents of the deceased preceded him in death.

Deceased has lived his entire life in the vicinity of Richmond where he commanded the highest respect of everyone. He leaves us, but the memory of his character lingers.

Funeral service was held at the Richmond Methodist Church Thursday July 31, conducted by Rev. Coggeshall assisted by the deceased's old time friend I. N . Arnold. Interment in the Richmond cemetery by the side of his parents.
