Wednesday, April 11, 1900Death of Mrs. Barrows
Last evening at nine o'clock, Mrs. Barrows passed away at her home on South Second street, after an illness of only a few days. She was taken suddenly ill on Saturday and gradually became worse until the end last night. Mrs. Barrows was born and raised in Athens county, Ohio and was seventy four years and eleven months old. She was married to George Barrows in 1848 and they lived in Ohio until 1870, when they moved to Crawfordsville in this county. In 1871 they moved to Dutch Creek township, where Mr. Barrows died in 1878. ...(illegible).....lived on the farm till 1894, when they moved to this city. The only surviving son is David of this city. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the late home at two o'clock. The remains will be taken to New Haven cemetery for interment.
