John Daryl Hamil Jr., 92, of Washington, formerly of Crawfordsville, died Saturday, Jan 22, 2011, in the M.L. McCreedy Hme in Washington folwing a decline in health. Mr. Hamil was born Nov 26, 1918, on the family farm near Crawfordsville the son of John D. and Ada (Oats) Hamil. He married Betty Sinclair of Wayland on Jan 9, 1941, in Queens City, MO. Surviving are his wife; one son John Hamil and wife Pat of Washington; one daughter, Shari Frantz and husband Dave of South Dakta; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Floyd and three sisters, Hazel Cherryholmes, Grace Lease, and Pearl Dusenbery.
