Mary Madalyn Dunn McGrath, 89, of Marion died peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, Nov 20, 2010 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Survivors include her son, Michael (Rhonda) of Ankeny, a daughter, Sandra (Irvin "Andy") Anderson of Marion, two step-sons, Michael McGrath of Dallas, TX and Richard McGrath of Phoenix, AZ. She is aso survived by three grandchildren, Kathy (Jeff) Akers of Oskaloosa, Cory (Shelly) Dunn, and Charlie (Emily)Dunn all of Ankeny; eight great grandchidren, seven step-grandchidren and nine step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two husbands. Mary was born on Oct 9, 1921 in Keota, the daughter of Michael and Gertrude Palm Streit. Mary married Philip R. Dunn on October 9, 1941 in Davenport. He died in 1975. She later married Gerald F. McGrath on Nov. 25, 1978 in Marion. He died in 2006.
