Kenneth J. Wieland, 82, of Riverside, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Mr. Wieland was born Jan 22, 1929, in Washington, the son of John and Elsie (Thompson) Wieland. He married Mary F. Lenz on Sep 18, 1950, at St. Mary's Church in Lone Tree. Surviving are his wife; two sons, John of Riverside, and Randy of Riverside; one daughter, Becky Hedden of Rogers, AR; four grandchidren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Birtie Duwa and husband Lloyd of Washington, and Margery Goodlander of Washington; and one brother, Russell of wife Rose of Riverside. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son Rick.
