Joy Charlene Crossett, 79, of Washington, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a brief illness. Mrs. Crossett was born May 29, 1931, in Crawfordsville, the daughter of D. Uriah and Mildred (Buffington) Davis. She married Gene E. Crossett Sr. on Oct 26, 1969. Surviving are two stepsons, Gene Crossett Jr. and wife Linda of Terre Haute, IN. and Dan L. Crossett and wife Cynthia of Brighton; three step-grandchidren; five step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merlin Davis and his wife Nellie of Perry, and Rger Davis and wife Gladys of Winfield; one sister, Loris Wiley and husband Vernon of Fairfied; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in 1996.
