Darrel E. Deao

Darrel E. Deao, 38, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in West Chester.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Washington with the Rev. Robert Bell officiating. Interment will be in West Chester Cemetery in West Chester.

Mr. Deao was born Aug. 11, 1962, in Fairfield, the son of Bertha Hoyle and James Deao Sr. He married Kathy Roberts Dec. 18, 1982, in Washington.

He lived most of his life in Washington County, but did live in Oklahoma for three years. He attended elementary school in West Chester and graduated from Washington High School in 1981.

He was a member of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington County Rescue Unit. He hunted and fished and was a fan of watching his sons play baseball. He worked as a self employed carpenter, but has also worked for Norm Bruty Construction and was a sub-driver at the Washington County Fire Department. He worked maintenance at IBP from 1986-1992, worked for Steve Chalupa Carpentry for a short time and worked at Perfex Manufacturing in Washington.

Survivors include his wife of Washington; two sons, Aaron and Adam Deao Sr. of Washington; mother, Bertha Kleese of Washington; one brother, James Deao Jr. of Washington; one sister Charlotte Arbogast of Unionville; and grandmothers, Louise Hoyle of Wayland and Mary Roberts of West Chester.

He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, and one grandfather.
