Marie Beatrice Sadilek Machatka, 92, of Riverside died Tuesday evening, March 4, 2014.

Marie was born in Rozmital, Czechoslovakia, August 18, 1921, and moved to America with her family in 1928. She married Theodore Machatka May 22, 1943, in Chicago. She helped for 35 years in his optometry practice in Cicero, Illinois.

At Marie's request, there will be no funeral service. Mass at St. Mary's Church in Riverside will be at 8 a.m. March 21 with Marie's favorite doughnuts and coffee to follow at St. Mary's Hall. A luncheon will be at noon March 22 in Robert's Buffet private dining room at the Riverside Casino.

She was preceded in death by husband Ted (1987), her sister Frances (1995) and grandson Joshua (1999).

She is survived by four daughters, Carole (Franklyn), Ellen (John), Mary Kay, and Donna (Jim); four grandchildren, Jody (James), Jeana (William), John (Nina) and Tedi-Marie (Kyle); and two great-granddaughters, Sadie and Maggy.
